Sarah Monk

Sarah Monk read English Literature and Philosophy at the University of East Anglia and worked as a Personal Assistant to Black Rod at the House of Lords. After bringing up 4 children she did an Honours Degree in Psychology with the Open University. She also has a postgraduate certificate in Assisted Reproduction Technologies from the University of Warwick. Her special subject was Secondary Infertility and her Dissertation was on the interaction between stress and IVF.
 
Sarah has undertaken a variety of post-graduate training; with Dr Richard Bandler in NLP, with Dr Alice Domar in Mindbody approaches to infertility and with Dr Alan Watkins in Cardiac Coherence.
 
She is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society, and a member of  the General Hypnotherapy Register, and of the British Society of Psychosomatic Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Andrology.
 
As well as having overall responsibility for the running of the Practice, Sarah works as a practitioner herself in two main areas. She uses a mindbody approach to help women trying to conceive, whether or not they are having IVF. She also runs Heart RateVariability training for general wellness and wellbeing, as well as for management of chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and anxiety and depression. Sarah's treatments can be tailored to complement treatment in acupuncture and osteopathy, although they are also available separately.
