Sarah Monk read English Literature and Philosophy at the University of East Anglia, and then worked as Personal Assistant to Black Rod at the House of Lords. After bringing up 4 children she took an Honours degree in Psychology with the Open University. She is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society, a Full Member of the Central Register of Advanced Hypnotherapists, the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the General Hypnotherapy Register. She is also a Certified NLP Practitioner.

She has a special interest in motivation and achievement in sport, in treating phobias, and in the treatment of infertility using MBT.
